To involve parents and teachers in providing an emotionally supportive, ethnically rooted, child oriented, stimulating, environmentally friendly, safe, and protected learning environment for the child.
Curriculum and Teaching Methodologies:
Backed by our founder’s domain expertise, Lil Amigos offers best in class curriculum to nurture a child’s gross motor, fine motor, language, cognitive and socio emotional and creative needs. National education policy 2020 (NEP 2020),says that over 85% of a child’s cumulative brain development occurs prior to the age of 6, indicating the critical importance of appropriate care and stimulation of the brain in the early years to ensure healthy brain development and growth.
Our Curriculum is based on a blend of theories of education as propounded both by Indian and International theorists. The Curriculum inputs are taken from the theories of Maria Montessori, Friedrich Froebel, John Dewey,Tagore, Gandhi ,Gijubhai Badheka ,Tarabhai Modak, Rousseau,Urie Bronfenbrenner,Howard Gardner, Piaget, Vygotsky to name a few.
The teaching methods incorporate the following approaches: Montessori method, Play way and Activity, Theme based, Inquiry based and Multiple Intelligence . These go a long way in instilling creative thinking, lifelong learning, scientific learning, self-realization, communication skills, social values and life skills. The emphasis is on laying a solid foundation by creating a stimulating environment which forms a base for holistic learning, making lifelong learners which is especially important for tomorrow’s world.
Lil Amigo’s curriculum philosophy is supported with our belief that the important pillars in a young child’s life are the child’s family, facilitators, and the learning environment. A child is learning largely from his/her immediate environment- an environment where he/she feels safe and secure in.
The curriculum nurtures the growth of the mind, body, and spirit. It aims to develop healthy attitude, good values, skills of critical thinking, collaboration, communication, creativity, technology, literacy, and socio emotional development. The curriculum is aligned to the ECCE (Early Childhood Care and Education) guidelines as mentioned in the National Education Policy 2020(NEP 2020).
Domains of our curriculum
# Social, emotional, and ethical development– This domain area aims at the development of personal awareness and pro social behaviour with focus on collaborative play, imagination, self-realisation, independence, safety, life skills, sharing and understanding feelings. It also includes a focus on developing social capacities, sensitivity, good behaviour, courtesy, ethics, personal and public cleanliness, teamwork, and cooperation.
# Development of communication and early language– This domain aims at the development of communication ability with focus on Listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills.
# Development of Foundational Literacy – This domain aims at the development of emergent reading and writing skills.
# Cognitive Development: Let us understand the world- This domain includes Math, Science and General Awareness with focus on the development of skills of observing, understanding concept, logical reasoning and predicting outcomes. It also involves development of the key 21st century skills of critical thinking, problem solving, precoding and emergent technology literacy through puzzles and activities.
# Development of Foundational Numeracy– This domain aims at the development of emergent number and mathematical skills.
# Artistic and cultural development and expression-This domain aims at the development of art and creativity with rhythmic musical movement, drawing, craft, fireless cooking, and role play etc. Activities include drawing, painting and other visual art, craft, drama and puppetry, music, and movement.
Our activities are multisensory in nature and are age and developmentally appropriate for young children. We also plan activities that focus on self and environment awareness through quiet time, nature walks, activities on gardening, fun fitness etc. Events with parent engagement, field trips and specialist workshops are planned as well.

NEP 2020 defines a good education institution is one in which every student feels welcomed and cared for, where a safe and stimulating learning environment exists, where a wide range of learning experiences are offered, and where good physical infrastructure and appropriate resources conducive to learning are available to all students.
